MR. AND MRS. MATTHEW BROWN
The beauty in the joining of two families couldn't have been scripted anymore diverse. Matthew, a city-boy, meets Tawni, a country-gal. Both Tawni and Matthew hold their family, friends and their faith to the highest regard.
THE BRIDE
Tawni grew up just south of Dallas/Fort Worth. She attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and graduated with honors. She studied abroad in Paris and worked at a commercial interior design firm in Sydney, Australia before she moved back to Texas. Presently, Tawni works at Dallas' preeminent interior design firm, Dallas Design Group.
THE GROOM
Matthew grew up in the Midwest before he moved to Texas in 2000. He attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and, after a brief stint in the public-sector, became heavily involved in the financial services industry both in Texas and New York. Presently, Matthew works at an energy infrastructure fund in Dallas, Energent, L.P..
OUR FIRST MEETING
Shortly after Tawni returned back to Texas from working abroad in Sydney, Australia, and shortly after Matthew moved back to Texas from Oahu, Hawaii, they connected through a mutual friend and met for lunch in August of '15 at Palomino's in Dallas. Their story began to write itself.
DATING, WORLD TRAVELERS
Matthew and Tawni started dating shortly after they first met. Both share a passion for traveling, so naturally that's how their first date started: in Oahu, Hawaii. Since they met, they've traveled across the globe - often for weekend getaways - though their favorite places include: Maldives, Thailand, Hong Kong, Spain and Napa Valley, California.
HE PROPOSED
With a little help from his friends at Farmhouse Inn in Sonoma County, California and those at Opus One Vineyard in Napa Vally, California, Matthew proposed to Tawni on a lovely day at the vineyard on July 11, 2016. "She said 'Yes'"
